Mainstream/Plus Class 11th Night Thursday Apr. 30th
This Square Dance Mainstream/Plus Class open to all SSD graduates and returning dancers.
This Plus class is a follow-on to the “NEW” dancers class known as SSD. SSD covers the first 50 calls commonly used in Southern California square dancing. The Plus Class teaches the next 50 calls. Our club is teaching the New Dancers SSD program on Tuesday nights. Twice a year the class opens for students to start at the entry level. Parallel with the SSD classes, we are holding SSD level dances in addition to our regular club dances that alternate SSD and Plus level tips. The idea is to get students to start attending dances, without them having to master the entire list of 100 calls.
To provide a path for people to learn the Plus calls, the club is holding this Thursday night class. This Square Dance Mainstream/Plus Class open to all SSD graduates and returning dancers. It is also great exercise and practice for experienced dancers. Visitors are welcome. So come out and learn new calls or just brush up your skills. It’s a fun time.
The weekly sessions are teaching new and reviewing mainstream/plus calls. The location is the Conejo Community Center, 1175 Hendrix Ave., Thousand Oaks, CA.
