Learn to Square Dance

Buckles and Bows Square Dance Club of Thousand Oaks hosts weekly lessons attracting adults of all ages. The weekly 7-9 Tuesday night lessons are open to new dancers for 3 weeks, Sept. 4th, 11th and 18th. Classes continue through May. The first 3 classes are free so you can try it out.  Normally a $5 donation is asked.

Over 100 people from the local area gather every week to enjoy dancing at the Thousand Oaks Goebel Center.  Classes are taught by a professional caller using a variety of music types, from popular to country tunes. Singles and partners welcome. No prior dance experience needed.

Terry and Paulette – “It took me 12 years to agree to try square dancing.  When I finally did, I found that the physical and mental  activity helped me relax after stressful days at work.”

Steve and Wendy – “We were hooked from the first class.  All the nice people make the class lots of fun.”

Allen and Theresa – “We square danced several years ago and decided to join friends who wanted to learn. We drive every week from Ojai.”
